/// PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Anhydro-X is a sophisticated and innovative formula with 6 plant extracts, based on the latest research on fat burning and weight management. It contains Caffeine combined with EnXtra™ Blue Ginger extract, the ultimate caffeine amplifier. Innovative in weight management are fat blocker Curcuma extract and Olive extract that improves insulin sensitivity. The formula is completed with Vitamins B3 & B6 and Chromium Picolinate. These ingredients interact synergistically and Black Pepper ensures an efficient uptake to give an optimal result.

The human body has two types of fat, Brown Adipose Tissue, or brown fat, and White Adipose Tissue, or white fat. The main function of brown fat is to turn food into body heat and is often referred as the “good” fat as it burns calories. This process of energy creating is called thermogenesis. White fat cells on the contrary, are the result of excess calorie intake and are storing energy. We typically find these white cells in the waist and thigh area. White fat cells can convert in brown fat cells and also start to burn energy instead of storing it. Anhydro-X contains a blend of 10 synergistically interacting ingredients which helps in weight management.

/// ACTIVE INGREDIENTS PER DAILY SERVING (4 Vcaps)

EGCG (extracted from Green Tea) and Caffeine

Both the catechin Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾⁽³⁾ and caffeine⁽⁴⁾⁽⁵⁾ have a positive effect on weight loss on their own. Supplementation with either one of them results in decreases in body mass index, waist circumference and total cholesterol.

Several scientific studies⁽⁶⁾⁽⁷⁾ show that the combination of EGCG and caffeine is even more effective. The combination increases fat burning at rest by 180 kcal⁽⁸⁾ and leads to improvements in body composition and reduces abdominal fatness.⁽⁹⁾

During a meta study, scientists of the University of Connecticut put together and analyzed overall data of 15 studies.⁽¹⁰⁾ They concluded that fat burning is stimulated by combining green tea with caffeine:

First of all, phenols in green tea slow down the enzymes that break down adrenaline and noradrenaline. Increased levels of these substances stimulate the transport of fat cells in the blood, making it easier for the muscles and organs to break them down. On a cellular level, phenols produce a similar effect. The phenols found in green tea, e.g. EGCG, stimulate the mitochondria in the cells to burn more fatty acids, and caffeine makes the cells to react better to adrenaline and green tea. A dose of 150mg of caffeine increases fat burning by 33 percent. Adding 210mg of EGCG (the most active polyphenol in green tea) even increases fat burning up to 41 percent! SynTech™ uses a mega dose of 1330mg of green tea (standardized at 15%) in order to reach the daily dose of 200 mg of EGCG. Anhydro-X contains 320mg caffeine per daily dose.

Capsicum Annuum

Capsicum annuum is an extract of Red Pepper. The active compound is called capsaicin. Studies have showed that Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 plays an important role in weight loss. Capsaicin activates the TRPV1 receptors, which causes white fat cells to start burning energy instead of storing it.

During a clinical study carried out by the University of Oklahoma, capsicum annuum was administered to a group of people 60 minutes before they were asked to do physical exercises. Compared to another group that got a placebo, the people of the first group turned out to burn 278 calories more before, during and after the physical effort.

This study confirms findings other research: capsicum annuum intake improves thermogenesis⁽¹¹⁾ and enhances the energy expenditure and therefore is an important factor leading to weight loss⁽¹²⁾, abdominal fat decrease⁽¹³⁾ and visceral fat remodeling.⁽¹⁴⁾ Each daily serving contains 200mg capsicum annuum.

EnXtra™

EnXtra is an extract of Alpinia Galanga that’s being harvested in India. It’s also called Blue Ginger. It improves alertness and focus upto 5 hours and amplifies caffeine benefits without having a “crash”.⁽¹⁵⁾

Curcumin

Curcumin is the active compound of the Curcuma Longa plant extract, also known as turmeric. It has a wide variation of benefits. One of them is that in inhibits the enzyme 11-beta-HSD1 in fat cells.⁽¹⁶⁾ This enzyme is needed to activate cortisol. This stress hormone plays a role with the growth of fat deposits, so the less you have, the better. In addition, curcumin inhibits the molecular fat sensor PPAR-gamma in fat cells, making it more difficult for the fat cells to absorb nutrients from the bloodstream.⁽¹⁷⁾

Olive Leaf

The active ingredient in the olive leaf extract is called oleuropein, which increases insulin sensitivity. New Zealand researches of the University of Auckland conducted a study with 46 healthy men who consumed 51mg of Oleuropein per day for 12 weeks. Their result of supplementation with olive leaf extract was that it limited the rise in both glucose and insulin levels after glucose administration. So insulin sensitivity improved, which means the body needs less insulin to control blood sugar levels and fat cells will take up less glucose. Improved insulin sensitivity also means that the breakdown of fat in adipose tissue is not inhibited.

Vitamin B3 & B6

These vitamins contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin B6 also contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism.

Chromium

Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels and to normal macronutrient metabolism. This plays an important role in weight management.

Piper Nigrum

This Black Pepper extract improves the absorption in the blood of the other ingredients. It is standardized at 95% piperine. Recent research also shows that black pepper has appetite-reducing properties.⁽¹⁸⁾
