Pea Protein Isolate
Pisane® C9 is a pea protein isolate extracted from yellow pea, a natural and gluten free raw material. It has an intermediate digestion rate (between Whey and Casein), and therefore is an excellent source of protein as a post workout shake, pre-bedtime, or as a refreshing smoothie.
Protein contributes to a growth of muscle mass.⁽²⁾ Researchers have studied the effect of Whey Protein versus Pea Protein during High-Intensity Functional Training. Participants received 24 g of either whey or pea protein. Results showed that ingestion of whey and pea protein produce similar outcomes in measurements of body composition, muscle thickness, force production, WOD performance and strength, following 8-weeks of HIFT.⁽³⁾
