/// PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

EAA Electrolyte is workout drink to be taken during exercise. It supplies the body with all Essential Amino Acids, BCAAs, Vitamins and Electrolytes that keep you hydrated during your workout. The EAAs are scientifically formulated in proportion to the daily needs of the human body, as established by the World Health Organization and United Nations University.

The Vitamin Complex contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and to the electrolyte balance, which is essential for any athlete.

Suited for:

  • Fitness / Body Building

  • Athletics

  • Rugby / Soccer

  • Cycling

  • Marathon / Triathlon

  • Martial Arts / MMA / Boxing

/// RECOMMENDED USE

EAAs

Essential Amino Acids cannot be produced by the body and therefore have to be taken by food. The 9 essential amino acids are lysine, phenylalanine, threonine, histidine, methionine, tryptophane, and the three bcaa’s, leucine, isoleucine and valine, which are elaborated on next.

Amino acids play a role for vital processes in the body such building muscles, energy production, immune function and nutrient absorption. You can find all nine of them in animal proteins like meat, eggs and poultry. Also some plant foods contain them, like soy products edamame and tofu. Normally after eating these foods, protein first breaks down into amino acids, which then become available for the processes in the body. The advantage of taking EAAs as an intra-workout, is that they are relatively quick available to your body, which makes nutrient timing more easy.

The essential amino acids in EAA & Electrolyte are formulated in the same proportion as to the daily needs of the human body, established by the World Health Organization and United Nations University.⁽¹⁾ One portion delivers about 60-65% of this daily need, depending on your weight. Each serving contains 4.72g of these 6 EAAs.

BCAAs

The Branched Chain Amino Acids belong to the group of essential amino acids, and are L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. Those three and especially l-leucine play a key role in muscle growth and recovery after the workout, because they activate protein synthesis. BCAAs play an important role in maintaining muscle mass and in optimizing the glycogen stores in the muscles. A strategic BCAA intake helps you accelerate your recovery after power and endurance training and to have less muscle stiffness.⁽²⁾ Each serving contains 6g BCAAs, which brings the total of EAAs to 10,72g!

Vitamin Complex: Vitamin B3, B6, B12 & C⁽³⁾⁽⁴⁾⁽⁵⁾⁽⁶⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾⁽⁹⁾⁽¹⁰⁾⁽¹¹⁾

Especially sportsmen and women need more of these water soluble vitamins. Vitamins are essential for a properly functioning body. According to research, there is a connection between vitamin B and sports performance. Vitamins B are used by the body to convert proteins and carbohydrates into energy. They are also essential for muscle recovery and cell production (muscle cells). Researchers at the Oregon State University discovered that athletes who have a vitamin B deficit perform worse, and their muscle recovery and growth goes slower than those of athletes who take enough vitamin B. Vitamin C is also a water soluble and essential in tissue growth and recovery. Furthermore, vitamin C is an anti-oxidant: it can block damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals can arise during intense workouts.

Electrolyte Complex and Coconut Water

Sodium, calcium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium are all electrolytes. They regulate nerve and muscle function, balance blood acidity and pressure, and they hydrate the body.⁽¹²⁾⁽¹³⁾ ⁽¹⁴⁾⁽¹⁵⁾ ⁽¹⁶⁾⁽¹⁷⁾⁽¹⁸⁾⁽¹⁹⁾   Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue⁽²⁰⁾ and regulates the electrolyte balance. ⁽²¹⁾

Coconut water was added because it gives an extra dose of these electrolytes.
