HMB (or hydroxy-methylbutyrate)

HMB (or hydroxy-methylbutyrate) is a metabolite of the amino acid L-leucine.

First of all, HMB is an anti-catabolic ingredient that minimizes muscle breakdown as a cause of intense training. It also accelerates regeneration after both power and endurance training.

For people who practice power sports, HMB is essential because it contributes to the protein synthesis. Many studies have shown that the combination of weight lifting + HMB can double power training performance compared to training without HMB. In addition, creatine and HMB are synergistic ingredients, meaning that they mutually reinforce their effect. (1)

Endurance athletes also benefit from taking HMB, because it improves their VO2 Max and RCP (improving stamina). In other words, athletes can train longer and more intensively. (2) A daily dose of HMB consists of 3g, spread over two servings of 1,5g. Take one serving after your training.

HMB is used as a key ingredient in SynTsize Mass.
